My name is Erica, and 3 years ago I went out on a really cold day with a camera phone (don't judge! haha) and took some really grainy pictures of the mountains. From there my love of taking pictures of anything and everything snowballed--no pun intended-- and now I've managed to make a business. Not without the help, however, of my wonderful husband Gene:
He's pretty much been my cheerleader through this whole thing, and believe me I've needed it at times. He's been my "be professional" coach and helped me control myself when I was getting started and things were tough. He's the one who has encouraged me to follow my dream and not let it grow stale. You'll probably see a lot of him here along with my 21 month old (not quite one but not quite two, so I stick with months for now), Hayden:
Hayden has been somewhat resistant to be a model for me (he moves so fast!), but every now and again I get a gem like this one to show off those big steel eyes. Hopefully you readers will get a kick out of his shenanigans, as I find they brighten up my day most of the time.
The reason I started this blog up is in part because I needed a place to store my work other than Facebook (Yikes at the photo quality!), but also because I feel so many photographers lack that "personal" touch. I've found that I enjoy a fellow photographer's work so much more once I feel that I "know" them in a sense, and I'm hoping to give you guys that feeling. I won't be talking only about my personal life on here, though. I would also like to use this blog to share with you some helpful hints and tutorials as well. I know I'm always looking to learn, and if I help someone else along the way it couldn't hurt right? (;
